Responsibilities include (but are not limited to); technical support to customers using RISA software, researching and writing specifications for new program features, testing of new or existing features, production of verification problems against published design examples, writing of program and feature documentation, live demonstrations of software to existing or potential clients, attendance at trade shows and industry events to promote RISA software, instructing software training courses to clients, providing pricing and sales information to existing and new clients.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to); performing research of selected engineering topics for the purpose of writing a programming specification, (developing programmatic algorithms) based on the prior research and source code specification, writing the actual source code in the C or C++ programming languages to implement the algorithms, testing the source code against hand calculations or other known sources, and performing comparisons of existing source code implementations or algorithms against published design code updates or other advances in engineering knowledge to ensure compliance with accepted standards. Provide support to our Engineering Product Support group for all features within their responsibility, and provide marketing/technical support directly to our clients as needed. Testing newly developed or existing, algorithms or source code implementations.
Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field or foreign equivalent plus1 year of structural engineering experience. Completed Coursework in C or C++ computer languages and programming methods, or equivalent work/academic experience. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
