Leverage the full power of Building Information Modeling by transferring your structural models seamlessly back and forth from Autodesk® Revit® Structure to RISA-3D and/or RISAFloor and/or RISAConnection. This Link is easy to use and offers unlimited round tripping between programs to ensure that your models remain synchronized.
This Link adds toolbar buttons to Revit Structure which facilitate both exporting to and importing from RISA models. The Link’s use of an intermediary Exchange File means that RISA and Revit can (but aren’t required to) coexist on the same machine. This means that the Link can accommodate a variety of workflow situations, regardless of whether the Engineer or a Drafter/BIM Modeler is working with the Revit model.
The Link offers a variety of straightforward import/export options to maximize your control over what portions or elements of the models are transferred back and forth. An editable Mapping File provides the ability to customize the Link to support members and materials that are not already included. A detailed log is also created during every transfer to provide transparency and facilitate troubleshooting.
The link between RISA and Revit Structure maintains geometry and design parameters in both models. Below are parameters that can be added/updated/deleted in either RISA or Revit Structure.
Description: Download the Full Installation Package for the RISA-Revit Link. The compatibility information is below.

RISA Videos are short demonstrations of the software that help you see a feature in action.
We take a full building model from Revit software into RISAFloor, RISA-3D, RISAFoundation, and RISAConnection for an optimized structural design. See the newest addition to the RISA-Revit link with RISAConnection. The RISAConnection link can transfer your steel connections between Revit and RISA, and RISAConnection will do all the design checks and send the design details back to Revit. Now you can bring the entire structure into RISA, including the connections from Revit, and round-trip a full design back to Revit. This video demonstrates the workflow from the perspective of the structural engineer between Revit and RISA.
This video demonstrates the export of Revit Structure model with a structural slab into RISAFloor ES.
This video will show the Import Summary dialog and the new color-coded 3D View titled RISA Import Summary in Revit Structure. You can watch how the RISA-Revit Link will track your changes and display them in color.
RISA Webinars are hour long educational online sessions that will allow you to learn more about a specific topic. These webinars have been previously recorded. You can hear the instructor during the session and you can also download the questions from the live session. For any further questions or more information, please email email@example.com.
This webinar demonstrates how to use the RISA-Revit Link with concrete materials. The link allows you to transfer reinforcement, elevated slabs, foundation slabs, and footings. Presenter: Matt Brown, S.E.
Learn how recent improvements to the RISA-Revit Link have made repeated round-trips a painless process. See how new settings and options can enable you to click the Import/Export button without worrying about the consequences. This class will focus on workflow between your RISA model and your Autodesk® Revit® Structure software model, including how to handle situations where both models are being worked on simultaneously. Special emphasis will be placed on workflow strategies to ensure that both models remain as synchronized as possible throughout the design lifecycle. Presenter: Matt Brown, S.E.
Learn the best practices to make your integration between RISA and Revit as seamless as possible. This webinar will cover the common pitfalls and mistakes, and teach you how to avoid them. The webinar will also cover all of the advanced features of the RISA-Revit Link, including how to use custom families and libraries when integrating with RISA. Presenter: Matt Brown, S.E.
