Q: Are the files backward and forward compatible between versions?

A: Yes, the files are backward and forward compatible between all versions.

Q: Are there any new hardware requirements for RISA-3D v18 version?

A: There are no new hardware requirements for v18. Learn more about Hardware Requirements.

Hardware Requirements

Q: Can I have both RISA-3D v18 and v17 installed?

A: Yes! You can have both RISA-3D v18 and v17 installed allowing you to use either version. Both versions can be launched from the Start Menu.

Q: How do I use the Director tool to integrate the programs?

A: RISA-3D v18’s integration with RISAFloor, RISAFoundation and RISAConnection will be available in v18.0.1. You are still able to use these programs together by opening your model in RISA-3D v17.

Q: RISAFloor v14 takes me to RISA-3D v17, how do I get from RISAFloor v14 to RISA-3D v18?

A: RISA-3D v18’s integration with RISAFloor, RISAFoundation and RISAConnection will be available in v18.0.1. You are still able to use these programs together by opening your model in RISA-3D v17.

Q: How do I design connections? The option is always grayed out.

A: The integration with RISAConnection will be available in RISA-3D v18.0.1. You are still able to use these programs together by opening your model in RISA-3D v17.

Q: When will RISA-3D v18.0.1 be released?

A: RISA-3D v18.0.1 will be released soon and we will notify you as soon as it’s ready.
