Criteria: Reinforcement Bar Lengths - tab

The Reinforcement Bar Lengths tab allows you to define longitudinal reinforcement cut-off lengths and bar extension lengths. Cut-off lengths apply to minimum reinforcement over supports and in the span for slabs and beams. Bar extension distance is applied to reinforcement required for Strength combinations (demand moments). Options are available for adjusting bar lengths and position for graphical rebar output. When you select 'Adjust length and center' as the Bar length adjustment and position reporting option, the program increases the length of the bar on the shorter side of the support line or midspan to match that of the longer side. The program places the bar centered over the support or within the span.

Note: The inputs for Minimum bar lengths and Extensions of Strength Reinforcement beyond point of zero moment, are dependent on the criteria chosen for a model (Two-way slab, One-way slab or Beam) in the upper left pane of the Criteria window. The inputs are stored independently for each criteria. The bar length adjustment and position reporting inputs are global for all criteria.
Reinforcement Bar Length inputs are not available in ADAPT-SOG.
