The Rebar Minimum Cover lets you define the top and bottom cover distance to non-prestressed longitudinal reinforcement.
For two-way design criteria, the distance defined is relative to the outer layer of reinforcement.
For one-way and beam design criteria, the distance defined is relative to the reinforcement parallel to the support line.
Rebar Minimum Cover Options
Option | Description |
---|---|
Two-way Slab Non-Prestressed reinforcement |
|
Top Bar |
Allows you to define the clear cover to the outer most bar in the top fiber of concrete. The inner layer CGS is then automatically calculated based on the clear cover and the preferred bar size used for top bars. |
Bottom Bar |
Allows you to define the clear cover to the outer most bar in the bottom fiber of concrete. The inner layer CGS is then automatically calculated based on the clear cover and the preferred bar size used for bottom bars. |
One-way Slab Non-Prestressed reinforcement |
|
Minimum bar cover to the top fiber |
Allows you to define the clear cover to the non-prestressed reinforcement in the top fiber of concrete. |
Minimum bar cover to the bottom fiber |
Allows you to define the clear cover to the non-prestressed reinforcement in the bottom fiber of concrete. |
