The Drawing Tools ribbon provides options to aid drawing elements in the model.

Description

Drawing Grid

Display Grid

Allows you to toggle the display of the drawing grid.

Drawing Grid Origin

Click to Locate

Allows you to position the origin of the drawing grid by selecting a point in the 3D View.

Drawing Grid Options

Save as Default

Allows you to save the existing drawing grid as the default grid.

Save Grid

Allows you to save the existing drawing grid.

Load Grid

Allows you to load a previously saved drawing grid.

Snap Settings

Quarter Points

Allows you to create snap points at quarter intervals along a beam.

A check indicates that this feature is turned on. To check or uncheck, click inside the Quarter Points box.

Third Points

Allows you to create snap points at third intervals along a beam.

A check indicates that this feature is turned on. To check or uncheck the box, click inside the Third Points box.

Intersection

Allows you to create a snap point where elements intersect.

A check indicates that this feature is turned on. To check or uncheck the box, click inside the Intersection box.

Perpendicular

Allows you to create a snap point to draw perpendicular beams.

A check indicates that this feature is turned on. To check or uncheck the box, click inside the Perpendicular box.

Increment

Allows you to create snap points based on a specified distance.

A check indicates that this feature is turned on. To check or uncheck the box, click inside the Increment box.

Universal Snap Points

Active

Allows you to activate snap points in the model based on universal snap point options.

A check indicates that this feature is turned on. To check or uncheck the box, click inside the Active box.
