Tool

Description

Delete

These tools provide a way to delete specific elements in your model. For more information, see Delete Elements.

Delete Single

Allows you to delete a single item in the model.

Delete a single item by clicking on it individually in the model view. Alternatively, you can select an element and press the DELETE key on your keyboard to perform the same action.

Delete Multi

Allows you to delete elements within the model based on criteria.

Delete selected items based on elements types such as, nodes, unattached nodes, beams, spread footings, wall footings, piles, pile caps, and displayed loads.

Copy

These tools provide various ways to copy elements within the model. For more information, see Copy Model Elements.

Global

Allows you to copy elements in the global X and Z direction.

Specify a distance to copy an element in the X and/or Z direction. Click diagonal to apply the distances simultaneously and/or click Copy Loads to also copy associated member loads in the duplicate.

Point to Point

Allows you to copy selected elements by specifying two points for distance and direction.

Specify a start point and end point for copying selected elements in the direction and the distance between the two specified points.

Rotate

Allows you to copy elements by specifying a rotation.

Specify the axis of rotation, angle and how many increments to create rotational copies of the element.

Move

These tools provide various way to move or rotate elements within the model. For more information, see Move / Rotate Model Elements.

Global

Allows you to move selected elements in the global X and/or Z direction.

Specify a distance to move an element in the global X and Z direction.

Point to Point

Allows you to move selected elements by specifying two points for distance and direction.

Specify a start point and an end point for moving selected elements in the direction and the distance between the two specified points.

Rotate

Allows you to rotate elements about a specific origin.

Specify a rotation axis and angle of rotation. Then, specify an origin by clicking a node in the model or entering specific coordinates.

Slabs

These are graphical tools that provide ways to modify slabs within the model. For more information, see Slabs.

Modify Thickness

Allows you to modify and/or delete the edges of slab regions.

You can specify whether to move a corner, remove a corner or delete the entire perimeter of the slab region.

Modify Openings

Allows you to modify and/or delete the edges of slab openings.

You can specify whether to move a corner, remove a corner or delete the entire perimeter of the slab opening.

Offset Distance

Allows you to offset the entire perimeter of a slab.

Specify an offset distance to adjust the slab perimeter. You can input a positive number to enlarge the slab or a negative number to minimize the slab.

Redraw Edges

Allows you redraw an edge of the slab.

Select this option to edit an edge of the slab or opening edge in the slab. Click on the edge you would like to edit and you will be able to redraw the edge.

Edge Fixity

Allows you to adjust the slab edge fixity to an adjacent slab.

Specify the slab edge fixity to either be Fixed or Pinned and then click on the slab edge that you would like to apply the fixity to.

Remove Edge Points

Allows you to delete the corner of the slab.

After removing the corner of the slab, the slab perimeter will connect the two adjacent points.

Delete Perimeter

Allows you to delete the entire slab perimeter.

Advanced

Model Merge

Allows you to merge elements in your model based on your merge tolerance.

Model merge can help detect and fix modeling errors. For more information, see Merge Model Elements.

Round off Coordinates

Allows you to specify the number of decimal places for node coordinates.

Use this option to indicate the decimal precision used for node coordinates. This is especially useful when importing a model from another program to reduce the possibility of element misalignment due to excessive decimal precision.

Match

Allows you to match the properties from one element to another.

Select a base element whose properties will be copied to additional elements. This tool is useful when making mass modifications to the model. For more information, see Match.
