Stiffness Modifiers can be defined in ADAPT-Builder for a single structural element or group of elements, including columns, walls, slabs, beams and ramps. The various conditions of a project can be stored and analyzed within a single model using Usage Cases. In other programs, this would typically be handled by copying the model several times and saving the applicable stiffness modifications. In ADAPT-Builder, you can manage all stiffness profiles in the same model.
You can Define Usage Cases to store a stiffness profile and then Assign Stiffness Modifiers to Components in the model for each Usage Case. You can then Analyze the Model Using Usage Cases to see the solution with reduced stiffness applied. Stiffness can only be reduced from a max of 1.0.
