Subscription Licensing Conversion

Starting this December, RISA will be transitioning from hardware-key perpetual licensing to cloud-based subscription licensing. We understand that changes like these can raise questions and concerns so we would like to address some key points to provide clarity and ensure a smooth transition for our users.

Your RISA licenses will be converted to a cloud-based subscription license for you automatically.

No, the conversion to subscription licensing is automatic.

Your username is your email address. When you are added to the account by your account administrator, you will receive an email that allows you to set up a password

Your account Administrator can add you to the account in the RISA Customer Portal.
Please contact us if you aren’t sure who your account administrator is.

You will need to have a RISA Customer Portal account and will need to follow the process shown in this article: Convert Perpetual License to Subscription in order to access the subscription licensing

Yes, you can keep your keys. However, technical support for perpetual licenses will be discontinued on December 4, 2023.

No, the keys will not work in this way.

The installations of RISA-3D from v18 and newer versions will have RISA-3D v17 included.

The RUS passwords and license files for keyed licenses will be available in the Customer Portal until December 4th when this system is retired.
